Jose’s cooking is inspired by three things: childhood memories of fishing with his dad in Puerto Rico; foraging earthy and sophisticated ingredients; and using playful yet serious techniques. His cooking is spiced with his spirited and mischievous personality.
When he is not in the kitchen, you can find Jose obsessing over video games. If it’s too early in the day to have an IPA, you’ll find him sipping on a good cup of java.
Jose’s culinary background includes being chef de cuisine at Ripple in Washington, D.C., and BlueZoo in Orlando, Fl.
He lives in Alexandria, VA with his dog ACE and is fully committed to his BAE – which in this case also stands for ‘bacon and eggs’.
